Check the underneath whenever possible. Stab around with an awl or screwdriver, especially the frame, dog legs, jack points and structural sections (where body, axles, springs attach to the frame) if anything looks rusted, patched or suspicious, write it down.
The car has a very shiny finish underneath, and in wheel wells, that looks like undercoating (not rubberized) but it has a hard shell-type finish. Seller states that is the way it came from the factory and is considered factory undercoating.
Note: If no lift was available at the time of the inspection any comments made are based on observations from a prone position. As it is impossible to inspect the underside of a vehicle thoroughly without a lift, DO NOT ASSUME THAT THERE ARE NO ISSUES in this area.

Seller states that there are no records or paperwork; prior owner in Japan and he probably has the items, when current owner bought it he didn't know to request any paperwork for the vehicle. No FIVA Card. No further documentation except New York State ownership Transferable Registration.
The following are #'s and locations were they were found: #18056 stamped into lip in inner trunk near spare tire well. Upper Firewall # B24S-1238. Lower Firewall # 00239 S. R/S of Transaxle # B20-19009. L/S of Transaxle # B20-190010. TAG ON R/S of Transaxle states: Lancia Torino and has the #'s B20A and then # 95 below it. Above Front Oil Pan has # B4 1390 stamped. R/S of Engine just below exhaust #2232. Two(2)unplugged wires underneath front near right side bumper mount? Small scratch and a few small chips on right side lower part of rocker panel. There is a rub mark on the inside of the driver's door. All hubcaps are slightly damaged and have some pitting, cracking, some 'curb rash' type damage and tarnishing. The interior sill plates have some small nicks and scratches. The piping on the outer part of both front seats has very small wear. The inside door handles and window cranks have some pitting. The headlight bezels have some minor pits and the left side has one peel spot. The tail-pipe chrome ends are worn. The windshield has a few small scratches and tiny chips. The car has ovbiously been re-painted; no workmanship flaws to note. The clock is not working. The 'Carpets' section refers to the rubber covers. There is a fire extenguisher on passenger floor. The driver's wiper looks too low(?); somewhat off windshield (see photos).
